Care instructions for knitwear and wool
How do you take care of your wool items? Wool has many good properties. For one thing, every sheepskin contains lanolin. This is natural wool grease which makes the wool self-cleaning, bacteria-resistant and dirt-resistant. Because of this, you do not have to wash your wool clothing very often. It is sufficient to air the wool items outside for a while. If you do want to wash your wool clothing, always choose a wool wash program. We recommend washing clothes made of wool at 30 or 40 degrees maximum. Always consult the care label inside the garment. It is wise to choose a wash cycle that best matches the "weakest fiber", so even if a sweater is only 10% wool.
Drying and storing knitwear
After washing wool and/or other knitwear, make sure not to hang dry it. Instead, you can lay the clothes down on a clothes rack, for example. Because the knitwear is wet, the heavy weight can cause it to droop and get out of shape quickly. This also applies to storage, by the way. Knitwear is best folded and stored lying down in your closet.
